Checking In

Aki really got me into the whole Foursquare thing. I was constantly trying to beat him to the punch with the check-ins. Here we are in Pi Bar, Valencia and 25th.

Ten badges, this guy.

Pi day was 3/14. Started 3.14pm. Beer cost $3.14. We weren't there.

A Bridge Too Far, Yet Really Close

So we went out to Point Bonita with the Stanford lot just across the Golden Gate bridge for a picnic in February. The weather was good; the weather was bad; the view was magnificient. Here's a random couple taking it in when the going was good.

See that famous bridge, honey?

Oso on the right, Kirsten, and Mufti sulking in the background. Not really sulking.

Oso. Karhu!

Mufti making a 'I'm a documentarist and interested in your story' face. Not in Point Bonita, this one.

One of the Finns, Matti, goes looking for famous bridge. I swear I just saw it, man.

Out With My Buddies

Aki hung out for a few weeks, taking trips out of city and state. When he was in town, we tried to hang out in the Bay Area sun as much as possible.

Gonna chill out at Dolores Park.

Like so.

Check out the new shades on Mr. Selin.

"Make sure you get the city in the background."

I think this was me and Janne's first bike ride in the city sometime in early February. I was on my brand new, and bad-ass Bad Boy. Cold as hell, though. Well, relatively speaking (Cheers, Finland!)

Yeah, it's great at the beach.
