Keep Portland Cozy

Recovering from Barbecue Insanity, we decided to hop on the bus and hit Portland proper the following day. First impressions were: nice, cozy, weirdly clean, the homeless dress better than in S.F. and the place is generally more compact. The Pacific Northwest is crazy beautiful and the city totally reminded me of North of the border.

Keep Portland Weird, right?

Bridgetown and all the other nicknames do apply.

Industrial coolness.

A Portlandish man. In Portland. I guess.

The hipster roams Portland. Free-range, of course. (Only 300 of these bikes in the world, apparently?)

Jebus loves me, dis I know.

A Backyard Barbecue With Pikku Jaettilaeinen

Zing! In two shakes I was transported to the Pacific Northwest, to Portland, OR, Vancouver, WA, where Trevor was getting ready to show me a great time. Now, Trevor is a serious cook. The guy had smoked an entire chicken for us. We ate. We drank. We laughed. And that was only the first night!

Is that a delicious smokey&spicy salad I see you holding there? It sure is!

Motherfuckers beware. Later he slaughtered the fattest calf for us. Kidding!

Mmm, bison. Mmm, veggies.

Good eats.
