Carnaval

San Francisco Carnaval hit the streets of the Mission on Sunday. They dress up! A great big fat parade with tons of samba schools, drum corps, pirate ships, low-riders and assorted freaks. And Benjamin Bratt, the star of La Missión, giving back to the community by pinching cheeks of kids, waving at crowd. Híjole.

Insert head joke here.

We ride low'n'slow.

Eh, you pointing at me, Benjamin Bratt? Oh, the kid in front of me, okay.

And none of them really rushed to the finish line.

"So, I'm looking for this guy, brown eyes, tan, 12 feet tall?"

"Who's got the biggest feather boa in town, you say?"

La flor del barrio.

"I see your feather boa, and I raise you a shield."

"Yah, but check out our puffy sleeves, man. Blue AND white!"

Mission Boyz. Stay brown.

Ferry

Biked to Sausalito with my main man Oso (pictured) on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. We wimped out and took the ferry back to the city from what is essentially a horrible tourist trap, but the ride there was great. Nice weather, serious wind on the ferry. No pics from the bike ride? Eh.

Still smiling, but in two seconds the wind will kill you, cabrón.

Wait. This reminds me of something.

Yeah, yeah. Saaanfranciscosanfranciscosanfranciscoo. Give it a rest already.
