After The Zombie War

I've been exposed to a lot of zombies lately. Not the actual living dead, but in pop culture, games and books. This was actually a great read, and other people thought so, too: Three different people on the street struck up conversations with me when they saw me out with the book. This old rocker dude said it best, standing right next to The Armory on the corner of 14th and Mission: "It's a better book than any zombie book really deserves to be."

Zombies freeze in the winter. But then they thaw in the spring. Crap!

Also, I think I'm more of a zombie guy (as opposed to a vampire guy.) Vampires, to me, seem like they are too easily distracted by trying to look good, or being blasé about it all, going "eh". Maybe it's that they're old aristocrats, but they just seem to be the French of the undead. Zombies, meanwhile, will stop at fucking nothing. Unless you shoot them in the brain.
