Reclining On The Rooftop

Ah, vappu. This kicked off on Friday with heavy drinking, Finnish Mafia-style, at Sami and Lilli's in Noe Valley, and was kind of hard on some of the, er, international crowd. But come Sunday, also the Finnish Mafia was feeling the weight of the springtime celebration. At least I was. So we had a picnic on Matej and Petra's rooftop terrace in Duboce Triangle. Great food, and thank you, Jesus, for deck chairs!

The neighbor's cat joined our BBQ. We named it "Cat."

Mufti chilling out after grilling out, sort of 90's style.

A happy Matej.

This cabrĂ³n should always cook for us. Wait, he does!

More Slovenians: Damir, an Olympic swimmer (and the tallest guy Mufti has seen) joined us.

A trigger-happy Matej.

I know the feeling, Cat.

  1. Great food? Where’s the food?

  2. Your hungover guests ate it all!

  3. Also (read Oso), I must add that your marvelous souce doesn’t smell as good as it did a week ago. It was “best before”!?

  4. Matej, of course, this sauces get better with time… but not too much, eh. We should repeat this picnic on the “terrace”.
